Young sports stars in the Western Wards and the Fareham borough will be celebrated in a contest in Locks Heath.
A search has been launched to find a winner for the Young Sporting Hero 2013 at the Locks Heath Shopping Village.
An individual who has excelled and achieved outstandingly in sport will be granted the hero status. It is hoped the award will be highly motivational and inspirational for young people to strive for future sporting success.
Ian Goodridge, Centre Manager for Locks Heath Shopping Village said: “I am very excited to discover the talented and brave individuals in our community who deserve to be called a sporting hero. I am very much looking forward to hearing about all the fantastic young sportsmen and women in our community.”
To nominate a hero write to the centre explaining why the nominee deserves to be crowned ‘Young Sporting Hero 2013’. People nominating should remember to include their contact details as well as the nominee’s.
The winner will be invited to Locks Heath where they will be presented with an engraved award.
