A new children’s day nursery run by parents will be opening in Locks Heath on July 15.
Rachael and Oliver Thomson will be opening the doors of The Mulberry Bush day nursery in Locks Road.
The parents have aimed to create a 3,000 sq ft ground floor centre as a unified environment, centred around the family kitchen and featuring a unique children’s kitchen with spaces for each age group.
Each room has a specific colour scheme designed to create environments where children will be inspired, calmed and supported both in their learning and their emotional development.
Mother-of-two Mrs Thomson said:“It is very exciting to be opening our doors and welcoming children to The Mulberry Bush. We are thrilled to be able to offer a unique experience for the area. The Mulberry Bush offers a safe, secure and supported environment with access to fantastic facilities.
“As a mother of two, at home I spend most of my time with my children playing in the garden or pottering around the kitchen, so involving children in the growing and preparation of food seemed logical and natural. Children naturally learn in these environments and they can be used as a spring-board for all areas of learning.”
The Mulberry Bush is open to children aged three months to five years between 7.30am and 6.30pm, five days per week.
