Nets and buckets at the ready – it’s time to gear up for the annual crabbing contest in Warsash.
Families can enjoy a traditional seaside contest in the River Hamble Harbour Master’s crabbing competition on Saturday June 15.
There will be a trophy for the overall winner and prizes for each age group. All participants will be awarded a certificate.
The age groups are seven years and under, eight years to 11 years, and 12 years to 18 years.
Registration at the Harbour Master’s Jetty takes place at 12.30pm ready for the competition from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
It costs £5.50 to enter including the borrowing of crabbing kit or £3 if competitors use their own equipment.
Refreshments and cakes will be available to purchase on the day.
