Eleven injured in bus crash in Sarisbury Green

Eleven people were treated for minor injuries after a bus crash on the A27 at Sarisbury Green today (Saturday March 9).

The bus is thought to have collided with a 4×4 vehicle before then striking the wall in front of a house on Bridge Road close to the junction with Allotment Road.

There were 10 passengers on the bus at the time of the collision and nine of them were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance. One person was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham with a foot injury and one to Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.

The A27 was closed for more than three hours during this afternoon while police investigated and for the vehicles to be recovered.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the collision, which happened at 11.30am, to contact them with details. They can be contacted by calling 101.
