A 23-year-old man has died in hospital following a crash in Curdridge last week in which the car he was driving overturned.
Edward Sebborn was driving a blue Ford Fiesta which crashed off Botley Road, close to Maple Farm, at around 2.40am on June 6.
It is thought the car was travelling south from the direction of Bishops Waltham when, for reasons yet to be established, he lost control of the vehicle.
The car was spotted in a field by a member of the public, who called the emergency services.
Mr Sebborn, of Westbury Court in Hedge End was cut from the car by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and taken to Southampton General Hospital where he died on Friday (June 7).
A family statement said: “On the 7th June Edward Sebborn passed away after a car accident. A much loved son and brother who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.”
Police investigating the collision continue to appeal for witnesses to the crash or anyone who believes they saw Mr Sebborn’s Ford Fiesta in the minutes prior to it.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Severn.
