A 51-year-old woman who drove her sports car in Swanwick while twice the legal alcohol limit has been banned from driving for three years and fined £260.
Katharine Margaret Balchin, of Old Kennels Close, Winchester, was stopped in her red Toyota MR2 car in Swanwick Lane by police on March 16.
She was breathalysed and found to have 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
As well as the three year driving ban and fine Balchin was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £26.
