A motorist from Swanwick who had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in blood has been banned from the roads.
Peter Colin Garretty-Crane drove a Honda Civic in George Byng Way in Portsmouth with 275 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his blood – the legal limit is 80 milligrammes.
The 57-year-old of Swanwick Lane in Lower Swanwick pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place on February 18 last year.
He was disqualified from driving for two years and fined £350. Portsmouth magistrates also ordered him to pay victim a surcharge of £35 and court costs of £65.
